Dr. Bernadette Merricks
Dr. Merricks’ philosophy is that optimal health and performance can be attained through the proper balance of exercise, nutrition, and care of the body’s frame or skeleton. In addition to, maintaining a state of good health depends on a normal functioning nervous system.
Dr. Merricks attended Rutgers University, New Brunswick, New Jersey, prior to attending Life University, Marietta, Georgia, where she studied Nutrition and Chiropractic and graduated in 2001 with a Doctor of Chiropractic degree. She is a National Board Certified Chiropractor, Georgia Board Certified Chiropractor, National Board Certified Physiotherapist, Georgia Board Certified Physiotherapist, Georgia State Board of Workers Compensation Physician, IDD Therapy® Protocols Certified Clinician, CPR Certified, and Federal Workers Compensation Provider.
She is an active alumni at Life University Presidents Circle, a LifeForce 1000 Doctor, and also an active member of the Georgia Chiropractic Association where she serves on the Board of Directors, Life University Scholarship Committee, Conference Committee, Education Committee, and Membership Committee.
She has mentored young women through undergraduate at Clayton State University and the Chiropractic graduate program at Life University. Dr. Merricks has served on the Board of Advisers for the Medix School, Marietta and Everest Institute, Jonesboro. She actively participates with Life University Student Integrity Doctors Club and Life University Student Chapter of the American Black Chiropractic Association.
She is a member of the International Chiropractic Association and an active member of the Gwinnett County Chamber of Commerce. Dr. Merricks is also a member of World Changers Church International in College Park, Georgia.
Dr. Merricks is committed to changing the health of her community through a natural holistic health care approach allowing the natural recuperative powers of our innate inborn potential to express itself through the chiropractic adjustment, proper nutrition, proper rest, proper exercise and a positive mental attitude.
